Mission Statement of the Physical Therapist Assistant Program
The mission of the Washtenaw Community College Physical Therapist Assistant Program is to provide students with the academic, technical, and clinical opportunities and experiences that will allow them, upon graduation, to be:
- Employed as competent Physical Therapist Assistants; and
- Knowledgeable, active, and responsible members of the physical therapy community, the health care community, and the community at large.
This mission is consistent with the mission of Washtenaw Community College, which 鈥渟trives to make a positive difference in people's lives through accessible and excellent educational programs and services.鈥� As part of the 黑料网 mission, PTA faculty provide 鈥渁 caring, open-door teaching and learning environment,鈥� 鈥渆xcellent teaching, counseling, and support services,鈥� and 鈥渨ork in partnership with the community鈥� they serve. In addition, they 鈥渞each out to people who have limited income or other barriers to success,鈥� thereby enabling 鈥減eople to progress in their academic and career pursuits.
